Valen Glendor
Wild and without abandon, Valen will often do something just to do it. Caring more for the opportunity to experience something or do something that he has never done before. This can, more often than not, get him into trouble. He always manages to work out the situation to his benefit somewhow.
Having been with the Glendor tribe all his life, he has been witness to all manner of things. Throughout their travels. Thus he has been somewhat removed from regular society and thus disdains the contraint of the ordered "civilized" life.
Often the men of the camp will go out to do odd jobs for pay while possibly cheating those that they work for. Above all else, outsideres are not to be trusted and family comes first. His familial bond is the most important thing to him. No matter how unsavory or noble the person, he will defend them to the death, as long as it's family.
Thus recently he has come into a spot of trouble. His adopted cousin was betrayed and murdered and he has been sent out by the elders to find out what happened and punish those responsible.
A favorite quote of his, though he doesn't know where it came from, is “I went into the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life . . . to put to rout all that was not life; and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”
